To protect against potential fraud, you need to prove your identity by completing identification. This process validates your real identity and the authenticity of the identity document, confirming that the photo matches your face.
You must complete identification at the following key points of your user journey:
- Account onboarding
- Accepting an account membership
- Passcode reset
Completing identification
To complete identification, finish the following four steps:
- Choose your identity document type.
- Select the country that issued your identity document.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to scan your identity document.
- Record a video of your face, then complete the process by following the prompts.
The identification process is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After starting, you only have 10 minutes to complete the process.
First transfer
After completing identification, you might receive an email request to send a first transfer to your account from another account in your name. Not all account holders need to send a first transfer.
Electronic signature
You might need to sign the Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) of your payment account at the end of the identification process using a verification code sent to you by text message. Not all account holders need to provide an electronic signature.
