Update your phone number

Keeping your phone number up to date is a priority. It ensures that you receive important notifications and updates about your account. This adds an extra level of security, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring you have complete control over your account.

In this article, you’ll learn how to update your phone number using:

  • Identity verification
  • A registered device
  • A registered email address

Based on your account’s access level, you will be redirected automatically to the appropriate flow. This is done to mitigate any risk of fraud with your credentials.

Using identity verification

  1. Click this update phone number link from your mobile device. 
  2. Enter your old phone number.
  3. Enter your new phone number. 
  4. Enter the verification code sent to your new phone number by text message (SMS). 

    You'll receive a text message to complete the steps. This may take some time. 

  5. Click the link in the text message.
  6. Complete the identity verification steps.
  7. Confirm your identity using one of the following methods:
    • The passcode you've registered with Swan.
    • Your enabled biometrics.
    • The code from your authenticator app.

Using a registered device such as an authenticator

  1. Click this update phone number link from your mobile device.
  2. Enter your new phone number.
  3. Enter the verification code sent to your new phone number by SMS.
  4. Confirm your identity using one of the following methods:
    • The passcode you've registered with Swan.
    • Your enabled biometrics.
    • The code from your authenticator app.

Using a registered email address

  1. Click this update phone number link from your mobile device.
  2. Enter your old phone number. 
  3. Enter your new phone number.
  4. Enter the verification code sent to your new phone number by SMS.
  5. Enter the verification key sent to your registered email address. 
  6. Confirm your identity using one of the following methods:
    • The passcode you've registered with Swan.
    • Your enabled biometrics.
    • The code from your authenticator app.

Confirmation of phone number change

After completing the verification process, we’ll send you an email confirming the phone number change.

Check your inbox for emails from Swan asking for additional information. Please reply quickly for a smooth process.
